Sold Out Asian Dinner …
The Insider dropped by Garrett Murphy’s Kitchen Collective, urban cooking club, where they were hosting a sold out Taste of Asia dinner. A dragon salad kicked things off with Yuba and fresh herbs followed by Korean Wings. Hot and sour soup came next, with Thai lettuce cups that came with pickled vegetables and peanuts.
Chawanmushi came next. What the hell’s that? I learned that it was an egg based dish. Summer vegetables with braised tofu, not at the top of my list, but most people liked it. Seared duck breast combined with five spice and corn hit the note. And finally a chocolate pudding and smoked caramel was a fitting dessert for the meal.
