Napa White House Dinner…
Napa Valley always has some incredible, fun, wine dinners and fundraisers, throughout the summer. But a truly unique experience is coming up with a 2026 Inaugural Heritage White House Dinner on Saturday, July 25th, with a 7 course dinner beginning at 5:30 pm with a cocktail reception on the patio at Olive Hill Estates. Presented by Napa County Historical Society, the dinner will be hosted by Tatiana Copeland of Olive Hill Estates. Brian Allard, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing of Olive Hill Estates, was bubbling over with enthusiasm for the dinner. It’s going to be so cool, we’re going to be matching Napa wines that have been poured at the White House since 1962. Each of the seven courses and wines are selected from actual state dinners and are paired with music, plus video thru the winery memories and a visual journey of the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, and ’90’s. One can almost taste the fab wines on tap: Schramsberg Vineyards, Shafer Vineyards, Morlet Family Vineyards, Stags’ Leap Winery, Chimney Rock Winery, Bouchaine Vineyards, Domaine Carneros. Tickets can be purchased at Napa County Historical Society
What was last night’s dinner? Was on a plane, coming back from consulting with Mrs. Copeland. So there was no dinner, so let’s go with yesterday’s lunch which was poached eggs, asparagus and Hollandaise sauce.
What’s your favorite music? I love all sorts, but my fav is Bizet and Puccini operas.
What’s your favorite Napa restaurant? Zuzu. Love the atmosphere and farm to table food.
What’s your favorite thing about living in Napa? I love the juxtaposition of a big city like San Francisco being just a couple of hours away while we have such a beautiful valley here.
What makes a great olive oil? Good question, most people don’t know it’s very much like wine in that it can have loads of different flavors, everything from spicy to buttery. Only difference is you can’t really age olive oil.
Any brush with celebrity? I saw Julia Child at Bistro Jeanty as well old TV chef, Martin Yan was also there.
Any wine, trip or restaurant on your bucket list? I’d love to do a tour through Greece and northern Italy.
Final thoughts? Oh I’m just so excited about the upcoming dinner. Working with Sheli Smith and her team at the Napa County Historical Society, everything is just coming together just right and I know it’s going to be a fabulous night and hopefully be the first in a long tradition of dinners that support a great cause.
