Love A Great Steak….

To Cole’s Chop House we go… a Napa institution if there ever was one. ..  A top notch steak house with excellent wines and service.  Co-owner Eric Keffer, who had 12 years at Cole’s before taking over, showed me around the upper lounge with original stone walls and high ceilings, “Heather and I never considered changing the name when we took over. Greg Cole set such a good standard that we just try to live up to it.”

Last night’s dinner?? A pause and a laugh… Greasy nachos… My son is a big WWE fan so we went to the arena in San Jose last night and had a ball…

Favorite music? You mean style or decade? Simon & Garfunkel.. .

Favorite restaurant in Napa beside Cole’s?  Another long  pause before replying, I really don’t got out much. If I’m not here I’m home with my family.. But I’ll say Angele… Very  good French fare there..

Favorite thing he likes about living in Napa?? Just such a great community feel… I’ve been here 40 years, grew up here and always came back… I love it here…

Favorite meal?  What do you expect me to say? Got to be a steak…

Any brush with celebrity?  A few, but I don’t know if you consider this a celebrity but I met Michael Reagan, the son of Ronald, and we discussed some stuff, and for a political science major from college like me it was a thrill…

Final thoughts? Just let people know you don’t have to be a carnivore to come here… We do steak the best… But we do a lot of other things as well. Come here for a good time…  (The Insider had a prawn appy and I gotta say they were great,  as was the sauce)
